We are pleased to share with you all that we to raised a couple of hundred dollars through our fundraising efforts for the Relay for Life 2019. This is a contribution that would not exist at all without our kind and generous donors. Thank you so much to those who supported us in any way. We appreciate your selfless giving.
We also want to say a huge thank you to our team members (pictured above) and those who showed up on the day to walk with us. We were privileged to have our executive committee members, several team members from one of our member organisations, Gisborne Budget Service, and members of the community join us throughout the event.
Thanks to the Cancer Society for the organisation of such a wonderful event. It was a truly enjoyable and touching day and the community spirit really warmed us all.
Finally, I must congratulate our Executive Committee Member, and Relay MVP, Lyn Robb, who walked a truly unreal number of laps on the day (Cail recalls it being over 50kms!). Thank you, Lyn, for your strength and dedication, and for giving us all a goal to aspire towards at future events.
